What Is Involved In a Phase 1 Environmental Assessment in Midland?
At ERI Consulting, our goal is to evaluate the environmental history of a property and identify any recognized environmental conditions that may require additional attention.
The Assessment Typically Includes:
Site Inspection: An environmental consultant visits the site to observe current conditions and look for indicators of potential contamination, hazardous materials, or environmental concerns that may warrant further review.
Records Review: We investigate how the property has been used throughout its history by reviewing available records, historical maps, aerial imagery, and other documentation that may reveal past activities with environmental significance.
Interviews: When available, we speak with individuals familiar with the property, including owners, occupants, property managers, or local officials, to gain additional insight into site operations and historical use.
Database Searches: A review of federal, state, and local environmental databases is conducted to identify documented concerns such as regulated facilities, storage tanks, spill events, or other environmental records associated with the property or nearby sites.
Evaluation of Findings: After all information has been collected, our consultants evaluate the data to determine whether any recognized environmental conditions are present and whether further environmental investigation should be considered.
Upon completion, you'll receive a detailed Phase I ESA report that summarizes our research, site observations, and professional conclusions, along with recommendations for any additional action if necessary.
